Lucy Barrett - Wellness HQ Intern

Lucy Barrett is a counselling intern at Wellness HQ, completing her final qualifications with the Australian College of Applied Psychology.

Her passion for counselling stems from understanding the significance of creating a safe, non-judgemental, trusted, and compassionate space for clients to explore their internal world.

Most of us, at one time or another will experience difficulties with our thoughts and emotions, our behaviours, or our relationships.

In working together we’ll build a therapeutic approach to understand, explore, and navigate your life. I will provide emotional support, insight, and self- reflection. Further we’ll seek to understand the various parts of you and offer space and meaning to those often ‘hidden aspects’ of self.

Lucy works with clients to build a therapeutic relationship that is based on developing a personalised approach for each client.  As an integrative therapist she will apply various models of therapy underpinned by a person-centred approach.  In this way you lead the change you are seeking.  You’re supported to develop new insight, self-acceptance, hope, healing, and empowerment to manage life’s challenges and create new possibilities.

Warm and open-minded, Lucy enjoys being in nature, time with family and friends and a good book.
