Julieanne Ryan - Principal Psychologist and Director Julieanne is a registered psychologist with over 12 years’ experience counselling in primary and secondary public-school settings and in private practice. Originally a High School teacher for 20 years, Julieanne has a sound understanding of the challenges children, adolescents, and families encounter. Julieanne is an empathic and compassionate person who recognises that all people have strengths, and a right to be heard and to experience respect and safety. With extensive clinical training in a range of evidenced based therapies, Julieanne collaborates with clients to find what may be helpful for them. In her spare time, Julieanne loves spending time with her sons, family and friends, and walking the family border collie. Julieanne enjoys reading fiction novels and researching latest scientific findings on the impacts of trauma on the brain and evolving effective strategies that assist people to heal and to live full and valued lives. Qualifications: Bachelor of Social Science, Psychology Honours, Charles Sturt University, (BSC, Psy Hons); Bachelor of Arts, Majors in English and History, Diploma of Education, University of New South Wales, (BA, Dip Ed). Registered Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Member Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) Registration Number: PSY 0001809153 Currently Julieanne is not seeing new clients. Any changes to Julieanne’s availability will be placed on website.

Brooke Summerfield - Counselling Intern Brooke is a counselling intern at Wellness HQ, completing her final qualifications with the Australian College of Applied Psychology. Brooke is a warm, down-to-earth and empathic counsellor passionate about helping people navigate the unique challenges of their life, work, relationships and mental health for greater happiness and wellbeing. Offering a safe and accepting space for people from all backgrounds, Brooke will work collaboratively with you to develop treatments that harness your personal strengths and meet your needs for positive change and growth. With a trauma-informed approach, Brooke also recognises the impact difficult experiences have on both the body and the mind to help guide a path towards healing, empowerment and resilience. You’re supported with practical strategies to develop new insight, self-acceptance and confidence to help manage the ups and downs of life and create new possibilities. Brooke uses a range of evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Creative and open-minded, Brooke loves the ocean, travel, art, walks with her rescue dog and family movie nights. Qualifications: Graduate Diploma Counselling (Completion 2023), Australian College of Applied Professions Applied Psychology; Bachelor of Business, Communication, Queensland University of Technology.

Kaylee Harding - Counselling Intern Kaylee is a counselling intern at Wellness HQ, completing her final qualifications with the Australian College of Applied Psychology. Kaylee recognises human beings experience severe life stressors and hard times, and that it is not uncommon for their lives to become tough. Kaylee’s great passion in becoming a counsellor is bringing collaborative healing to those who have been through a traumatic/stressful experience. Aiming to help individuals regardless of age, culture or gender, to find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole and safe. Kaylee acknowledges personally that no single approach is the right one for every individual, and for this reason uses a range of modalities to assist in finding what is best in your own therapeutic journey. Kaylee aims at creating therapeutic plans and tools needed to assist individuals not only during current hardships, but creating a tool box of coping strategies through the continuity of their life. When not at WellnessHQ Kaylee enjoys time with both her dogs, cooking new recipes, spending time with friends and family, and spending as much time outside as possible. Qualifications: Graduate Diploma Counselling (Completion 2023), Australian College of Applied Professions
